Photojournalism Project

Today I'm going to work on my photojournalism project. I think I want to take pictures of old farm equipment and spell "tradition." I'll look around my house and visit some neighbors who have old equipment ans see what I can find. I'm guessing the N will be the only one I may have trouble finding. I had fun in Greenville yesterday! It was hot to the point of being miserable but Elizabeth, Olivia, and I had a good time finding things to take pictures of. Well now I'm off to work on my photo composition assignment!

Random weekend mind wandering...

So it turns out a scheduled power outage ruined Mr. Rose's plans to hold us captive in Godfrey this saturday. So instead I went shopping to prepare for my internship this fall. Right now I live at home (my parents preferred not to spend about $6000 more just so I could live on campus) so I've never lived on my own before. So obviously I'm super excited about it. But also I'm kind of lost. Finding an apartment is so hard, especially 5 hours away. And then there's buying all the things I need while living on my own. Plus I have to dress business casual, and I personally have barely any clothes like that. And in addition to that, the few clothes I did have no longer fit due to a large amount of weight I've lost in the last year (not that I'm complaining about that of course!) So I ended up spending about $200 on 16 shirts and 3 pairs of pants and some jewelry. So anyway...back to my internship. I'll be interning at RR Donnelley and unfortunately the expensive Durham apartments will taking up most of my salary. So my plan to save up for a Mac is probably shot now. But oh well. I'm super excited about my internship! The women I'll be working with are so nice and helpful, so that eases my nervousness a little. Lots on my mind though...

Tests!

Well tomorrow we have our second test in 207 AND our first test in 340! NO! The 207 tests are killers. With all the time spent on projects, I barely know what day it is. So this morning I remembered that our 207 test was TOMORROW. So much for wanting to study early. And then after reading my email I was reminded of the first 340 test. This is NOT going to be a good Friday...

Dreamweaver

I have been having trouble forcing myself to work on my web design. I like dreamweaver, but I don't like the tutorials. Tuturials are just so hard to do since they're very boring. You can't use any creativity. But of course you can't start using creativity until you know how to use the software. So I was planning on making myself finish the last bit of the tutorials this weekend. Then I remembered we had school on Saturday again! I REALLY hope Mrs. Carroll decides to let us have Saturday off... ;)

New Camera

So I just got my brand new camera! I love it and have already been taking pictures. In the first day I took almost 100 pictures. I'm excited to start learning to use it in my 340 lab. I want to get a tripod soon too. I've taken pictures of my animals, my family, and lots of nature. I got a wonderful picture of a butterfly on a flower. I plan on walking around clemson one day to get some pictures. I can't wait to learn how to use aperture and shutter speed!
